Veitshöchheim - May 30, 2007 - Give your Web site wings to fly with PHP5 Bootcamp in Europe, August 13-17, 2007

Big Nerd Ranch Europe announced the newest dates for PHP5 Bootcamp, led by Mark Fenoglio, in Germany from August 13-17, 2007. PHP is a flexible scripting language and one of the most widely used ways to develop dynamic and database-driven websites. Mark has emerged not only as an active contributor to the PHP development community, but also as one of the star instructors at the Big Nerd Ranch with a reputation as an engaged, highly knowledgeable and adaptable instructor.

As more and more developers and organizations become aware of the potential PHP5 provides in web development and its fluidity of design and integration with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, demand for knowledgeable and experienced PHP developers grows. The intensive five-day course requires no previous experience in coding with PHP5, but for best results students should have prior experience with HTML.

Students signing up before July 6, 2007 apply for the early bird fee and save €200.

The beautiful retreat environment of monastery "Kloster Eberbach" allows students to escape from the usual patterns and completely focus on improving their PHP skills while eliminating all distractions. PHP5 Bootcamp at the Big Nerd Ranch Europe provides the ideal learning environment for system administrators, webmasters and web application developers seeking a dynamic and robust solution to their web-based database needs. The course itself is specifically geared to developers and project managers already familiar with scripting in HTML, WYSIWYG experts looking to break out of template-based web development and veteran scripting developers seeking inclusion of PHP in their skill-set.

Throughout the five days, students are presented with a project website to create a context-driven syllabus. After class, novice students will understand how to build modular websites and applications using PHP, implement database driven solutions, based on PostgreSQL or MySQL, manage users with different roles, create web services, and much more. Key topics include, but are not limited to:

"I think the thing that sets Big Nerd Ranch appart is their ability to change according to the classes needs. Organized, but unscripted. I learned exactly what I came to learn. This isn't because it was part of the curriculum. It was because our instructor (Mark) stayed late into the evenings to help me with my issues.", former PHP5 student Henry Warren comments. "On top of that, I learned much more. I think the best part of all was just the caliber of the attendees. I would say that we lucked out but it sounds like Big Nerd Ranch constantly gets a high caliber of students to participate in their courses. Over all I would recommend their courses to anyone who is serious about taking their skills to the next level."
